On a Mission An archaeology professor explores secrets behind local historic churches
Posted on Aug 03, 2006
It's a dreary winter solstice morning. Suddenly, the fog blanket
splits and sunlight shoots through. It travels through the window
above the front door of a dimly lit Spanish colonial church, its
beam of reddish amber light hitting the back wall. Suddenly, the
entire interior is enrobed with light. It's not a scene from an
Indiana Jones movie, though with a few snakes and a bullwhip, it
could be.
