After her first few months as CSU-Monterey Bay's most recognizable
freshman, President Dianne Harrison took big strides toward
establishing her tenure. Harrison stressed to staff and faculty her
willingness to communicate. She reinforced the school's vision
statement. And then she decidefd to skip the traditional springtime
inauguration gala that is common for university presidents, trading
it for a simple installation ceremony to be held during the next
commencement.
