The California State University, Monterey Bay Police Department
protects the largest population of students who live on campus in
the California State University system. The 1,387-acre campus is an
isolated city within a city, home to 7,000 people. Chief Fred
Hardee says "being proactive educators" is an enormous part of what
the UPD does.
