CSUMB earns national honors from Bush initiative universitys focus on student volunteerism provides a model in community service

CSUMB was selected as one of the top three universities nationwide
for community service by President Bush's "Call to Service"
initiative. Last year, 1,559 students volunteered nearly 57,000
hours in social justice and community organizations across the
Monterey Bay.
